This was my primary Ames to shop at when I was a teenager. They had a Street Fighter 2 machine in the entry way. Memories include buying my Super Soakers from this location, and buying car-care stuff as well. The store sat vacant next to a nice, convenient Giant Eagle for 4-5 years until the whole unit including the National City Bank was torn down for the Target and Giant Eagle Express/Gas Station. Pittsburgh Mills (which could be a case study in how NOT to develop and open a mall) really had a lot to do with this as well.

It was originally built in 1970.

Originally Murphy Mart. Torn down in 2007 to build new Target.
