The store on the left (street) side of Home Office was a Grant's before Ames moved in. When I began working there in the early 80's, that was home to Operations, Merchandising and Advertising. It was also the main entrance to the building. I think IT and the executive offices were in what had been smaller shops. The Finance Dept was in the old Finast.
